Discover 'SAME AS NEVER': A Unique Artistic Experience at DeVos Art Museum
The DeVos Art Museum is thrilled to present the exhibition SAME AS NEVER [anything to get out of here, right?], a collaborative art show focusing on themes of time, bodies, and architecture as agents of resistance and transformation. This event, running from October 16 to December 15, 2025, invites families, schools, and local businesses to engage with thought-provoking artworks by the collaborative duo Snake House VT.
Community Engagement Through Art
This exhibition is particularly exciting not just for its content but also for the way it creates a shared bond among community members. This is an opportunity to reconnect with art, eight members from various walks of life can come together to ponder lasting impacts, both personal and societal. Curated by Kate Donnelly, Thatiana Oliveira, and Sumru Tekin, SAME AS NEVER features artists like Piper Hill, Zerek Kempf, and Shori Sims, all of whom provide captivating interpretations pertinent to the human condition.
Unpacking the Exhibit: Themes of Resistance
Essentially, the showcase explores how different elements—time, architecture, and our very own bodies—interact in a space of resistance. The artists do more than simply exhibit their works; they challenge viewers to reflect on their preconceptions and societal norms. One could walk through the exhibit and feel the palpable tension between what is expected and what is being depicted, inviting them to become part of the dialogue.
A Day to Remember: Meet the Artists and Curators

This interactive component adds another layer to the experience, inviting visitors to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations.
